Martyna Wilk holds a PhD in animal nutrition from Wrocaw University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Poland, and serves as Applied Research Manager at BioDose Sp. z o.o., a biotechnology company operating across 16 countries. She bridges the gap between research and practical farm application, working with livestock producers globally to implement science-based nutritional solutions.
Martyna's Nuffield research will address a critical gap she has observed between laboratory efficacy and on-farm reality in disease control. While current industry practice relies on reactive "firefighting" with antibiotics once problems emerge--contributing to antimicrobial resistance--her work will investigate how to create resilient gut environments that enhance vaccine efficacy and reduce pathogen loads, lessening the need for reactive treatments. She aims to identify and validate potent alternative solutions with demonstrable, repeatable results that support the "One Health" initiative.
With nearly a decade of experience as an industry communicator through publications, conference presentations, and direct producer engagement, Martyna is positioned to disseminate her findings globally and drive meaningful change toward sustainable, antibiotic-reduced animal production systems.
