Manuela Schneider - Germany

Study: Intelligent Land Use Conflicts and Sustainable Productivity Increases

Manuela Schneider is a Diplom Agraringenieur from Peine, Lower Saxony, Germany, located between Hannover and Braunschweig. She manages Domne Hofschwicheldt, a diverse arable farm producing cereals, potatoes, sugar beet, rapeseed, and seed crops, alongside renewable energy from wind turbines. The farm also hosts a bed-and-breakfast in historic buildings and runs "Erlebnisspeicher," providing farm and environmental education.
With extensive leadership experience, Manuela previously served as CEO of the Bundesverband deutscher Saatguterzeuger (German Seed Producers Association), representing 3,000 seed producers across Germany and Europe, and as CEO of Niederschsisches Landvolk Braunschweiger Land. She currently chairs LAG LEADER Region Peiner Land and serves on the board of the Lower Saxony LandFrauenverband. An alumnus of the Aspen Institute's U.S.-German Forum Future Agriculture and a qualified Sustainability Manager, Manuela brings strategic insight to sustainable land use and agricultural policy at both farm and policy levels.
