Study: Advancements in Precision and Regenerative Agriculture: Soil Sampling Methods Worldwide

Krystian Jelak, from the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland, is a 2025 Nuffield International Scholar researching the global development of precision and regenerative agriculture, with a particular focus on soil sample analysis methods. His scholarship is generously funded by the Top Farms Group.

Krystian holds dual Master of Science degrees in Agronomy and Materials Chemistry and works at Top Farms Group, where he serves as Director of the Precision, Regenerative, and Experimental Agriculture Development Department. Managing approximately 9,500 hectares, he is dedicated to implementing innovative practices that balance productivity with sustainability.

Growing up on a small family farm, Krystian developed a deep connection to agriculture. Now, as a father to a two-year-old son, he is motivated by the challenges of climate change and the future of farming. "I aim to apply the knowledge gained through my scholarship to create meaningful, lasting benefits for the environment and future generations," he says.

In his free time, Krystian enjoys running, climbing in the Tatra Mountains, and spending quality time with his family. His commitment to agriculture, paired with his passion for sustainability, drives his vision of a thriving and resilient agricultural future.
