Jakub Gawcki, from Gubczyce in Poland, has received a Nuffield International scholarship supported by Top Farms to study regenerative agriculture in various regions of the world. Jakub looks forward to learning about agricultural practices in the field of regenerative agriculture and translate activities in Poland and Europe.
Jakub works as a specialist in biologization and regenerative agriculture in an independent entity, the Terra Nostra Foundation of Agricultural Development, operating throughout Poland. He specialises in grain and other specialty crops, where he advises farmers and interprets results of soil sample analyses. The organisation operates as a small group on a daily basis, but the team consists of many experts from all branches of agriculture. Many farmers throughout Poland have trusted the organisation and have made the switch to regenerative agriculture.
Jakub is the graduate of first-cycle agricultural studies at the University of Life Sciences in Wroclaw. He is currently studying second-cycle agricultural studies, which he will complete in February 2024, prior to commencing travel and research for his Nuffield International scholarship.
Jakub intends to travel to countries where it is necessary to reduce wind and water erosion. He looks forward to visiting the USA and European countries to learn about and compare regenerative agricultural practices.
