Allan is from Temuco, Chile, and is the first Nuffield Scholar from his country. An agricultural entrepreneur, he runs Comercializadora de Alimentos Coalco Ltda, working as a potato broker, as well as growing and selling carrots and potatoes through part of his family's farm. During his Nuffield travels Allan will explore opportunities for agricultural, community, and economic development in his home region through incentivizing conversion from traditional agricultural crops to fruit production.
